For comic strips to be published in newspaper in black in white (like foxtort, peanuts, boondocks etc) what method of shading is used? I could only find old references for things like shading sheets? Have things advanced at all?
Toner sheets and digital toner.
You can find them at the Dick Blick store or at manga supply shops in sheets and digital packs.

Producing a comedy series that would be shown online. Since we havent found any investors we are using our website to showcase our comedy show and using affiliate programs to help pay for production cost. Is this a realistic way of going about promoting a comedy show on the internet? All and any suggestions are welcome.
The affiliate sites sounds promising. I would also add an "email to a friend" feature that makes it easy to share the site with friends. Then make that mailing witty and CLEAN, no pop-ups/unders, nothing offensive, and no retaining the emails for future mailings unless the user opts in.

I am trying to sell many of the comic books that I have online. I tried ebay but I didn't get many bids for them. Is there any site that specializes in selling comic books online? Thanks.
It's possible you didn't get many bids because your comics aren't that rare or valuable, or you didn't provide the information people look for when they buy comics from eBay, or perhaps you had a starting/reserve price that was unrealistic.
eBay really is the standard way to go. You can also try craigslist so you can find interested buyers in your area who can pick the books up and hand you cash, that way you don't have to deal with shipping or online money transfers. Or take them to your local comic book store. Unless your comics are from before 1975, any other method of selling is rarely worth all the trouble

I'm having trouble understanding what differentiates these two types of comedy. Can you provide an example of how a situation would be handled differently as a satire vs as a black comedy?
satire is just mocking something but a black comedy is actually making something funny out of something that wouldn't normally be funny. Let me give you an example:
There was once a movie called Eating Raul. It is about this woman that is a dominatrix and she kills her victims and then feeds them to an insurance salesman. It is a comedy and very funny. This is a Dark Comedy.
Satire is most often seen in the political sense. Mocking someone for the way they act or the positions they take.

http://www.amazon.com/Miki-Falls-Spring/dp/006084616X/ –”Miki Falls” manga creator Mark Crilley presents a tutorial on drawing hands.
If you’ve found this vid useful (and would like to help a guy feed his family!) I’d be honored if you’d consider picking up a copy of Miki Falls. It’s available at Amazon right here: http://www.amazon.com/Miki-Falls-Spri…
If you’d like to get it at a real bookstore, please remember that even bookstores that don’t carry Miki Falls will happily special order it for you if you ask. Thanks for the support, my friends!

Does anyone know how long in advance a daily comic strip is written? As an example, when a comic strip appears in the paper today, when did the author originally write it?
Daily strips are done two or three weeks in advance, while Sundays are done two months or so in advance, in order for the newspapers to set the color palettes before printing.

I can hit a G and im wondering what some good upbeat musical songs i should sing at my senior recital! If you have any ideas (the more the better) that would be great! Comedy is preferred but anything is good.
Thanks
