How many comic book stores are there in the United States?
Saturday, October 25th, 2008I am working on a project and I'm having troubles finding statistics on Comic Book Stores. I know I'm doing something wrong, just not sure what.
Like others said, this will be a very difficult statistic to find, and probably not something posted anywhere on the net directly. However, there is probably a way to find out. One company distributes all the comics in the United States, called Diamond Comics. They run a service called comic store locate service:

This is a searchable list by city of nearly every comic book shop in the country. However, because of the volume, you can not see a straight out list. I would recommend calling their customer service, and asking them, because they are going to be the only people with any sort of clue:

I`d describe it as a mix of slapstick and deadpan.

They usually get national Syndicators who sell it to many newspapers and split fees.
So imagine it's $10 per newspaper and you split a percetage with the syndicator.

Well, I would have said Dante's Inferno, but that's more than 11 letters long, and does not end with an A.
