Either that or what books should I look for that will help me draw good people? I want to draw like whoever illustrates the Catwoman and/or Batman comic books. Where did he/she learn?
I'm not looking for someone to do it for me yet, and I only will if I have to. No way am I tracing someone else's work into my comics.
I would really appreciate help.
you should contact your schools art class, you may meet some one willing to do this, or maybe take a class

I’d like any info on how to apply to New York based comedy programs. I know it’s a long shot getting accepted, but I’d like a mailing address, email address, or anywhere else I could send a portfolio so that it has a chance of being considered. I have some professional experience but I’m not well connected unfortunately. Thanks.
ok just to let you know you might as well forget it about the daily show cause jon stewart is the best ever and you probly will never compare to him and the writes that they will accept writings from already are renown and accepted in the writers society sooooooo good luck

Can anyone suggest any good website where I could search the value of certain Dc comic books? I’m planning on selling around 50 DC old comic books, Any good website in where I could sell them?
Comicpriceguide.com will give you an inflated idea of what your comics are worth. In cases where they list comics as being worth $2-5, they really only sell for less than a dollar in most cases.
You should browse ebay, and try to locate the exact comics for sale. Log in if you have an account, do an advanced search, and look for COMPLETED auctions. The ones in green are the ones which actually sold. This will allow you to see what people ACTUALLY paid for the same comics, as opposed to theoretical values from a price guide.
Just as a general rule of thumb, if the comics are from after 1975, you probably will not be seeing much money for them, likely less than a dollar apiece for most books. If they're from before that date, do more research into what exactly you have and what condition they're in, and what's the best route to sell them.

I have a convention I have to attend in 3 weeks with a mix age of employees, so comedy seems like the safest thing to take everyone to for an evening out. Can't do one that is all about sex, that wouldn't fit for this crowd.
Has anyone been to the comedy stores lately in Vegas that you could recommend one?
mack king is a comeadian and magician. also ron lucas is a ventillaquist and very funny.

I think I have a pretty cool idea for a comic strip, but before I get all worked up about it, I just want to see if the money is even worth it.
Thanks for all your help!!!
They don't, typically, get a salary. Their work is usually distributed by a syndicate, such as King Features. The syndicate will sell and distribute it to as many papers as want to buy it.
The more papers that carry it, and, the greater the circulation of those papers, the more the artist gets paid.
Not all comic strip artist go through a syndicate. They may sell the strip, directly to the papers. The papers will, of course, only pay what they can afford. A small, local weekly paper will not pay as much as a major metropolitan daily paper. But selling to one paper at a time is time consuming and not very efficiant. That is why syndicates are so popular among this kind of artist.

how do you know if comedy is the right career for you - if you are the right temperment? I took some of these tests in these comedy books but I don't know if that means that this is the best thing for me or not.
I haven't had that much experience yet, so it's too soon to tell for me.
you just have to go with what your heart tells you and go with the flow! If you think that is for you then maybe just try it and then see if you like it if not try something else
good luck
Oh and I have to suggest to you it is always great to try new things and when thay are about making choices about a career it's super important that you try as much as you can and ten if you are stuck between two or more try to follow your heart! Best of luck~*Emma*~
