Most comic companies will only accept a graphic novel submission if it has both script AND artwork. I am a writer; I write the story and that is all. I have an entire graphic novel script written up and editted, but I have no artwork and am unable to illustrate my story in any way. How and where can I find someone to illustrate my story?
The best best is Craigslist or sites like Conceptart.org. Ive had luck landing jobs penciling from Craigslist; you can find local artists or people willing to work via correspondence.
Just make sure your work is copyrighted and that you work on arranging payment before any actual work is done. And having samples of a persons work goes great lengths in sorting out the people who have a dream of being in the industry and people who will actually put out work on a regular basis.
