How many Black comic strip cartoonists have reached syndication ?

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

If you could provide names of the cartoonists that would be cool too. Also, a list of Black comic strip artists would help my cause.
To the first person that commented, please dont make this a race issue, I am an African American doing research on Black comic strips.

Morrie Turner’s Wee Pals

If you count ghosts, Andre LeBlanc, a Haitian-American who was also popular in Brazil, worked on such strips as Will Eisner’s the Spirit, Lee Falk and Sy Barry’s The Phantom (which he was reportedly working on at the time of his death in1998) Rex Morgan M. D., Apartment 3G and Flash Gordon. He also illustrated one classic Scholastic book, Snow Treasure by Mary McSwigen about a successful Norwegian attempt to smuggle some gold out of the country before the Nazis found and confiscated it

I’m absolutely sure there is more but those are three I remember.

EDIT: I feel really really REALLY Dumb. Through Brandon’s Daughter Barbara’s Lambiek.net page I linked through to Jackie Ormes who did Torchy Brown. How I EVER forgot Torchy Brown I do not know:

They said that Barbara Brandon’s Where I’m Coming From is the first nationally syndicated strip by an African American woman SINCE Torchy Brown. Ah well.

How does one repeat comic book missions in Marvel Ultimate Alliance?

Monday, July 6th, 2009

Sorry for the noob question, but is it possible to repeat the comic book missions in Marvel Ultimate Alliance?

I see everyone talk about using them to level up all your characters, but I don’t know how to go back and repeat them. Thanks for the help!

If you failed the first time I know for sure that you can play it again, you just go to the Training Console thing that’s in your HQ the same way you started the mission in the first place (unless you decided to start the mission right when you first found the Simulator disc). But even then you can still repeat it by simply going to the Training Console thing that’s located in every HQ. (There’s a different name for it in each HQ, just look for a console with the word "Training")

Now to play it again after you succeeded the comic book mission I’m not fully sure since I’ve never tried it before, but I believe it is possible. You just do the same thing.
