   Spinal Tap was 1982. This was 1984, as I recall, though I may be wrong. Saw these boys live in Edinburgh in 1987 or so.

    they were both filmed at about the same time,Bad News slighty before,but if i remember rightly Spinal Tap was released first as it was a film whereas Bad News was part of the comic strip series so all the episodes had to be recorded before the series could be aired

    Anyway, it is on DVD but only in the Comic Strip box set I think. You’ll have to buy the whole lot (or try less legal methods).
