    One of the few …
One of the few movies i am hoping to see, i don’t think it will be mindblowing, but it seems like Snyder can pull off a decent adaptation!

    zack snyder is a …
zack snyder is a good director but he is a horrible public speeker
    dudes still a bamf though

We all need to ” …
We all need to “wise up” because of your opinion of a movie that has never been released? You are making an opinion based on a trailer and some interviews. I am sorry but no one is forcing you to see it. Do what Moore does and just stay out of it if you disaprove. Gibbons is on board, does that mean he needs to wise up to what is being done to his own work? If you really wanted to stop this movie all you had to do was what Snyder did, option the movie.

    and buy the graphic …
and buy the graphic novel and become a total fan of the book and even if I do not believe it is possible to translate it into a film (100%), I’m still looking forward to seeing the film. I know, just because he woke my interest that that should mean anything to anybody else for that matter.

hope u don’t feel offended or anything , I was just intrigued by ur posts and wanted to offer another pov.

“We can save this world” - Ozymandias

    Your expression for …
Your expression for concern (if I may put it that way) is highly admirable, but I do sense that you don’t cut snyder any slack because he doesn’t have a Kubrickesque (maybe??) intellectual aura about him. of course I know u didn’t say anything of that effect but that is just a feeling one gets from reading ur previous posts.

to bring my argument to a point finally, i want to say what snyder has already done: Mainly because of his trailer he woke enough interest in someone (me) to go out

    be as faithful to …
be as faithful to the GN as possible(!!!).

another thing about the actors, you complained it has Akerman in the female lead as young silk spectre and basically that is reason enough why the film is doomed.
to be honest, and this is just my opinion, I didn’t think silk spectre II was as interesting a character as Rorschach, Dr.Manhattan or Ozymandias, who are promisingly casted (Jackie Earle Haley, B. Cudrup and Matthew Goode) to contradict your statement.

    and wanted to make …
and wanted to make a 5-hour miniseries at least.

back to snyder and the actual film we will see. there are interesting aspects that might convince u otherwise for instance that snyder rejected scripts that were set in the present time, or that he had to fight to show dr.manhattan fully nude as he is illustrated in the GN, right now it is rumored that the film is over 3 hrs long and snyder is very hesitant about cutting it down…these are positive signs that snyder is trying hard to

    previously and at …
previously and at the same time u compliment V for Vendetta who was directed by McTeigue who hadn’t done ANYTHING before besides being a 2nd unit director. V for Vendetta was great film imo but again Moore dissociated himself of it as he has w/ all the films that are based on his literature.
u said V “was good for what it was but not the actual story” - most likely Watchmen will be the same, it seems impossible to translate the GN 100% into a motion picture, terry gilliam said it was impossible

    how is that not …
how is that not valid?? it’s not an argument, it’s just stating the truth that u cannot sit here and bash the movie simply on what u saw in the trailer.
the action we see in the trailer is the EXACT action that happens in the graphic novel. trailers are made to attract people and (unfortunately) the easiest way is by showing an action-filled trailer. this than-again does not have to mean the trailer is bad or the film for that matter.
u are here trashing snyder for the two films he has done

    fine whatever, if …
fine whatever, if you don’t like the movie you can always read the book.

    Wait a minute! How …
Wait a minute! How did u read what I said about depth and then abstract from that I said it wasnt going to be detailed..??? Didnt I Just say that it was a frame for fram copy and paste panel???? OF course its going to be DETAILED! Man, I am begging all of you to please wise up. These people are just trying to shovel something up and make a quick buck. Does that mean Snyder is not a fan. NO. I believe he is. But he is wrong for this project. FACT

    I want everyone to …
I want everyone to read what this idiot just said. Its just a movie. It hasnt been just a moive for over 20 years now friend. It ceases to become just a movie when they hire Harvard grads to look at flow charts to see what their profit margins are. Its no longer a movie when fans are being exploited just to get our cash. U sir need to wise up. It hasnt been Just a MOVIE for a long time.
    Have a good day

    shut up dude, take …
shut up dude, take a chill pill… ITS A MOVIE!

  15. By MusicVideoKing23 on Jan 8, 2009

U are going to be …
U are going to be sooo dissapointed. Then Why have trailers? if its not going to be like the trailer? any answer u give will not be acceptable. Tell me if I’m wrong but I think you’re saying that the trailer is just to appeal to everyone to get them in the seats. LISTEN MAN. It is an insult to any Watchmen fan to release TWO trailers that dont even hint at the level of depth that is in that book. I’m sorry people I call it how I see it.

  16. By bumblesbounce54321 on Jan 8, 2009

    and plus, they are …
and plus, they are just trailers. like i said the depth of plot and character background will be there, i’m 99% sure. it wouldn’t be watchmen without it. AND zack snyder is some sort of fanatic so i highly doubt he won’t do the book justice.

  17. By bumblesbounce54321 on Jan 8, 2009

    never said that, …
never said that, just said that you were wrong for saying it wasn’t detailed. you were the one saying how bad it was because it didn’t have any depth. i was just proving you wrong. and plus he is a really good director.

  18. By MusicVideoKing23 on Jan 8, 2009

    Making a frame for …
Making a frame for frame exact copy and paste panel is NOT filmaking
ANYONE can do that! Zack Snyder is not a visionary who are they kidding?

  19. By bumblesbounce54321 on Jan 8, 2009

    they kinda did, the …
they kinda did, the flag over the comidians body has 51 stars. if you have read the book you will know what that means. this movie is going to be great and i’m pretty sure the detail is going to be there

  20. By WynstonCruso on Jan 8, 2009

    yeah by the sounds …
yeah by the sounds of it they should be sticking pretty much true to the graphic novel which would be awesome. Lets just hope we dont have a repeat of what happened with the X-men, that was en lame.

  21. By VernPokemaster on Jan 8, 2009

    The teaser trailer …
The teaser trailer was the longest teaser trailer in history

  22. By jediKnightreviews on Jan 8, 2009

    i like that you …
i like that you have faith that it will be faithful. i love it too, but i’m not gonnna go into the film, trying to make sure it’s word for word with the book. it’s truly impossible to do that. im excited to see that characters alive and after it has been in your imagination for so long. everyone has there own picture of the characters voice and mannerisms.

    im with you, love …
im with you, love the graphic novel but hey watchemn fans, remember the website set up when daniel craig was cast as bond , where is the guy who did that now?? liked 300, but absolutely loved Dawn of the dead, maybe Snyder will come up with the goods, give him a chance, lovin the trailer

    Guys u think I …
Guys u think I don’t want a good watchmen film? I want it more than most. But you are asking me to ignore all of these redflags that are so in your face its shocking. I”m sorry people. I know exactly how this film will turn out.

  25. By BULLSHIT1173 on Jan 8, 2009

    Dude, really, you …
Dude, really, you have absolutely no idea what this film is going to be like. Hopefully, it is everything the comicbook deserves, which is the best since it is the greatest graphic novel ever written. Maybe it’ll bomb, but I can tell you I will be there opening night with a bag of popcorn, sourpatch kids, and a coke with my friends crossing my fingers. Have some optimism man.
