What are some comic and tragic things I can take photographs of?

I'm designing book covers for a college project. Two book covers will be on the theme of tragedy and two will be on the theme of comedy.

Does anyone know any objects, events, situations that are comic and tragic that I can take my own photographs of?

What do you think of when you think of tragic things? It could be anything you want - I think dying your hair the wrong color can be tragic - maybe you should put a picture of L'oreal Hair Dye and put a picture of Carrot-top next to it, maybe you can find one of him making a shocked face and looking towards where you put the L'oreal :) LOL - you can kill two birds with one stone for that cover. In all seriousness, sometimes photos can be of nothing and be the most interesting. What is it that you feel when you think of something tragic, what colors do you see? what comes to mind? what makes you laugh? it doesn't necessarily have to be what other people find funny. You need to create a feeling with artwork….I hope that helps in some way.
