What to do with my large comic collection?

October 31st, 2008 | by admin |

I have a very large comic book colection, but they are not old enough to sell for allot of money. I checked wtih different comic book shops and if you don't have the really old ones they are not interested. I wanted to know if anyone new what I could do with them because I don't want them anymore and I don't want to throw them away or give them to sombody who will destroy them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I went through the same thing a few years ago. In fact, I didn't even have any comic book stores in the area, so I had to go out of town to find some. I ran into the same issue - they would not buy unless I had really old or rare comics. What I ended up doing was grouping them into individual comic book titles (Like a separate group for Spiderman, and a separate group for Fantastic Four, etc.) and selling them on Ebay. It worked out quite well, and I made pretty good money off of them!! Out of a huge box I had, I was left with a stack of maybe 20 odds and ends now. I'm not sure what I will do with those, though.

Secondly, if you are not interested in making money off of them, you can go to www.freecycle.org. Register with the group in your area, and you can post an offer ad for your comics. This website strictly runs off of giving and taking for free, so if you are interested in getting even a little bit of money, that site won't be good for you. So, try Ebay, and maybe whatever you have left over you can give away on Free Cycle.

You should probably wait as long as you could untill you sell them. The longer you wait, the more money they'll be worth. Then, when you really need money, you could sell them. It's a pretty good investment.
    –Good luck =]

Hang on to them until Spring, then, when yard sale season starts, have someone sell them for you at cover price. You probably won't sell them all, but you might get a little of you money back.
